2007 is coming to the end, it's time to review "the 10 most influential books of this year".. the influence is on me only for sure, but I just want to promote them a little bit.. being on such a roller-coaster may drive one crazy, but it may also drive one to the better..
(It is the start, so it has to be here; how come the Chinese, as a whole, always drag themselves backward in time?)
2. Ideas and Opinions -- Albert Einstein (He explains what it's meant by an intellectual, and what a guy like this believes.. It is the first time I am in complete agreement with the author..)
(He led readers to think about what we would really want to do)
(The reason for my recent marvels in our brain; he's a living example of how curious and funny a true scientist can be, and how broad their interests can be)
(This book tells what a true physicist is all about, wonderful)
(He simply ignites my interests in literature, particularly some Western classics)
(It is the first book of the year, but it is more a prelude than a start)
8. Tuesdays with Morrie (It is the real start, but I've just gone over the book extremely quickly)
(I like his essays so much that although I just completed around 50 pages, it has to be on the list)
10. 一切從基本做起 -- 李家同 (written by a university president in Taiwan who surprisingly serves also as the private tutor of some poor students, I have nothing except applaud for him.. he shows how much he cares about the world..)
