如果可以好像 Calvino 的 Cloven Viscount 一樣，將自己分成兩半就好了。不是為了讓一半行善，一半行惡，只為了可以一半習廣義的文科，另一半習廣義的理科而已。這樣，在故事終結時，再二分歸一的時候，一定會相得益彰，成為一個比較完整的人。有善有惡是必然的了，又何必一分為二？

這當然是廢話。但，既然 spatially 斬唔開自己兩半，那只好用 temporal 的了。可惜，斬開兩半還是不夠。誰叫要分配四分一用來睡覺，另外四分一用來 hae 和發白日夢呢？

看了朱棣文和一半 Dr. Richard J. Roberts。Truly excited。I even thought about the origin of life in the process. It's strange, but thoughts would really provoke more thoughts, however unrelated they are.

How is the ocean formed? To form it, you need oxygen and hydrogen. The earth's gravity shouldn't be strong enough to hold a hydrogen atmosphere. So the hydrogen has to come from the Sun. That means, it has to be carried to the Earth in some kind of solar wind I guess?

Next, the oxygen. It should be released from the rocks by bacteria. But then, does it mean that we have bacteria well before the formation of ocean?

So, isn't the picture like that? The bacteria are merely some kind of self-organization, that would happen automatically under such composition of rocks and temperature based on the law of probability or quantum mechanics. When pressure build up, the oxygen explodes and leak out, then the bacteria would survive and allow more oxygen to leak out, forming hence the ocean. The ocean in turn supports other life forms. Is the start of evolution like that? This picture is pretty simple that it has to bear some truth at the very least, according to one's intuition, right?

(In that sense, 金生水也很合理呢。Rocks 似金多過似土)

I think the formation of ocean, if known, should achieve a "common-sense" status, but how come I didn't know it?? and nobody taught me before?? But I'm sure the geologists all know these facts by heart.

Sigh.. When can the knowledge accumulated finally benefit all mankind, and bring joy to every wondering individual??!!

Can I say, it is the place? Or it is the people? Or it is the culture? I know not. But I simply hate to live like an idiot of no history, when the fact is that it actually takes so long to achieve where civilization is at.

The "new world" doesn't simply pop up and come out of nowhere! We got to appreciate all the human beings before us!

Then....................... We would know the meaning of life.....................
