At this moment..

I'm twenty-three going on twenty-four, and yet I've never tried any real jobs, not even private tutoring.. let this 4 months pass and I am to live on my own.. you can't spend all your money studying like a fool..

although most jobs are like nightmares, you have to.. little by little, you'll be ready in a year's time..

Happy birthday, Papa and Mama..

Had a nice meal @ TsingYi City --> not sure if it is the correct Eng. name

Just finished Angela's ashes.. I wouldn't say it's better than excellent, but it's authentic and truthful.. It's this honesty and his "writing fist" that makes this book so wildly and widely successful and enjoyable.. It's even a required reading for all the freshmen in some US universities, I was told.. (why didn't we get any required reading??) and I think it's already sold 10 million copies throughout the globe..

It touches on a lot of topics, first it's poverty, then alcoholism, religion (in particular Catholicism), education, poetry, growing pains and finally sex..

"My father and mother should have stayed in New York where they met and married and where I was born. Instead, they returned to Ireland when I was four, my brother, Malachy, three, the twins, Oliver and Eugene, barely one, and my sister, Margaret, dead and gone.

When I look back on my childhood I wonder how I survived at all. It was, of course, a miserable childhood: the happy childhood is hardly worth your while. Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood."

And the story begins.. Once I get the audio-CD, I will re-read it..

In the meantime, just get the research going!!
