It is only the brain

Everyone got a different brain, and so we are all different..

As far as I know, past experiences will affect the structures of the brain.. And if you stimulate certain parts long enough, the networks will change, re-developed, etc., possibly prepares you and makes you more "suitable" to handle the stimulus..

maybe in the case of superstitions, by exposing yourselves more to them, our brain "think" that it is better to believe in them, as it is so annoying.. so you believe in them.. don't struggle about the confirmation.. just believe it.. like what I'm doing now.. I just have to believe in what I said in order not to think too much about ghosts.. they don't exist..

ppl long ago seem to believe that it is only the memory part that can be changed.. but we now know by practising the suitable part of the brain, something will change..

so, I think I really can't trust those who concentrate too much.. e.g. the monks.. their brain is a little bit different.. so they may even believe that they've seen Buddha or something, just by thinking and practising about it day & night.. What they saw are extremely real to them, but not others..

=====

As an example, I think you can really refresh your memory by repeating the same sentence 100 times, or 1000 times, maybe then, you'll believe it.. It's like my 2 pieces of earliest memories.. The pictures are so clear, because I've talked about it like 100 times by now.. I still doubt if they are true, but I have seen that.. it stuck in my head.. it is really there.. I believe they are there.. but they are not real..

Oh.. my words are quite confusing..

=====

Can it be used to explain those superstition or strange phenomena I know not.. but our brain and senses do sometimes cheat us.. those many pictures ppl draw to show that something will disappear after a few seconds of staring at a point are the immediate examples coming to mind..

Maybe when one's frightened, that will be the case.. and if you keep thinking about it, after a while, you will believe in them firmly without any confirmation..
